Job Summary
The Business Development Representative (BDR) is responsible for generating qualified sales meetings for Nutanix and AI infrastructure solutions, with a primary focus on Energy and Financial Services organizations.
This role is focused on building long-term account value, not transactional appointment setting. High performers will develop vertical expertise, support strategic accounts over time, and expand their responsibilities based on performance.
Key Responsibilities
Pipeline & Appointment Generation
- Prospect into mid-market and enterprise Energy and Financial Services accounts
- Identify decision-makers including CIOs, CTOs, Heads of Infrastructure, AI/ML leaders, Security, and Finance stakeholders
- Book qualified discovery meetings for senior sales executives
- Maintain accurate CRM records (HubSpot or equivalent)
Vertical & Solution Expertise
- Develop working knowledge of Nutanix HCI and related AI infrastructure solutions
- Understand AI/ML infrastructure use cases
- Understand on-premises, hybrid, and sovereign cloud requirements
- Learn industry-specific challenges such as Energy (HPC workloads, AI analytics, edge compute) and Financial Services (security, compliance, performance, cost control, AI risk management)
Account Ownership & Growth
- Nurture accounts over time rather than one-time handoffs
- Support multi-threaded conversations across technical and business stakeholders
- Contribute to longer-term account development and expansion planning
Skills / Experience
- 1–4 years of experience in B2B technology sales, SDR/BDR, or inside sales
- Comfortable engaging technical buyers
- Strong written and spoken English (Spanish native or fluent)
- Process-driven and disciplined
- Comfortable with cold outreach (email, phone, LinkedIn)
Nice to Have
- Experience selling infrastructure, cloud, AI, or enterprise software
- Familiarity with Energy or Financial Services organizations
- Experience working with US based sales teams
- Interest in expanding into broader sales responsibilities over time
